Tour Overview:
This trip features Santiago and the surrounding vineyards followed by a stay in Buenos Aires. Start the tour with a city tour of bustling Santiago, Chile's capital which is nestled in a charming valley in the Andes. Then continue your trip with a tour and visit to the most important surrounding wineries.
After Chile and it's wines, continue to Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires, commonly referred to the "Paris of the South", is famous for many things including its Tango, shopping, leather goods, and steakhouses. Strongly influenced by European culture, Buenos Aires is sometimes referred to as the "Paris of South America". Buenos Aires is the site of the Teatro Colón, one of the world's greatest opera houses, the Casa Rosada, and the home of Evita Peron. The city has numerous museums related to history, fine arts, modern arts, decorative arts, popular arts, sacred art, arts and crafts, theatre and popular music, as well as the preserved homes of noted art collectors, writers, composers and artists. You will enjoy a city tour, Fiesta Gacho with the Argentine cowboys, and end with dinner and a tango show.

Day 1 - Miami/Santiago
Overnight flight from Miami to Santiago, Chile.

Day 2 - Santiago
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, tour Santiago. A journey through the main streets of the civic center of the city, viewing the neoclassical Moneda Palace, built in the 18th century and current seat of government, the Plaza de Armas, or main square with its cathedral, the museum of National History and the Central Post Office, all with very different architectural styles. Continue to the Parque Forestal, based on the Champs d’Elysee in Paris, the Fine Arts Museum and Santa Lucia Hill, where the city was founded in 1541. Continue to the bohemian area of Bellavista and climb San Cristobal Hill for a panoramic view of the city with the Andes Mountains in the background. The tour finishes with a visit to the handicraft village of Los Graneros del Alba (closed Mondays; an alternative is substituted).

Day 3 – Santiago - Viña Concha y Toro Winery
Half day tour of Viña Concha y Toro. Founded in 1883 by Don Melchor Concha y Toro, it is today the largest producer of export wines in Chile. It has more than 11 thousand barrels of French and American oak oriented to the production of fine wines with a capacity to store over 8 million 200 thousand liters of wine in steel holding tanks. The tour takes us to the landscaped gardens of the colonial house and the vineyards. We will also learn about the wine making process, and will visit the modern processing plant and the old cellars. Afternoon return to Santiago and transfer to your hotel.

Day 4 – Santiago – Santa Cruz Winery
Full day tour of the Santa Cruz winery. The tour begins and the trip is 90 minutes to Santa Cruz, passing by some of Colcahgua Valley’s main vineyards on the way. During the excursion you will have the opportunity to taste wines accompanied by homemade cheeses from the area and nuts as well as a folk singer who will entertains you with songs and ballads. From the Santa Cruz station, where a young folklore group will welcome passengers, we will go directly to one of the valley’s vineyards and enter into the fascinating world of wine. In this wine’s birthplace we will learn about its production and tasting techniques.

Day 5 – Santiago/Buenos Aires
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.

Day 7 – Buenos Aires
In the afternoon, we join a city tour of Buenos Aires, an impressive city that combines the atmosphere of an old European town with the features of a Latin American capital. In this tour, you will come to appreciate its characteristics, its history, its architecture, its culture and its best stories. We will visit the center of the city, San Telmo, La Boca, Puerto Madero and Palermo, and stops in Plaza de Mayo, Caminito and La Recoleta.

Day 8 – Buenos Aires
Full-day excursion to an estancia for a typical barbeque lunch and a folklore/gaucho show. Here we will learn about the customs of the Argentinean gauchos, and their abilities on horseback that will leave you breathless. The meat will be cooked a lo gaucho outdoors on the barbeque. Afternoon, return to Buenos Aires.

Day 9 – Buenos Aires
Enjoy the day at leisure exploring Buenos Aires.

At night we celebrate the city of tango and bid farewell to “the Paris of South America”. You will be treated to an unforgettable tango show performed by the best dancers and singers, while enjoying a delicious meal. Return to the hotel.

Day 10 – Buenos Aires/Miami
Transfer to the international airport for your flight back home.
