Start your tour in the capital city Quito, the first city in South America declared as “Cultural World Heritage of Mankind”, features a great cultural and historic richness. Though, the main vestiges found in Quito date from the Colonial Period, it is not possible to deny the importance of this city as a meeting point even before Inca’s arrival in Ecuador.
Continue your journey with a 5 day stay at the Finch Bay Eco Hotel in the Galapagos Islands. Located amid superb natural beauty, the Finch Bay Hotel is the perfect complement to your Galapagos Expedition. The charming Finch Bay named after the famous Darwin's Finches abundant in the outskirts; is just steps from the beach on a private seaside location between mangroves. Day 1, Monday – Miami/Quito
Flight from Miami to Quito, Ecuador. Upon arrival in Ecuador’s capital city of Quito, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2, Tuesday – Quito City Tour and The Equator
The tour begins with a great view of Orellana’s way and Guapulo Sanctuary (XVII Century). We will continue towards the downtown, where we will take a walk visiting the Independence Square, surrounded by historically important buildings, such us the Cathedral (XVI Century), the Presidential Palace, El Sagrario Church (XVII Century), and one of the most beautiful baroque churches in South America, La Compañia de Jesus (XVII Century). After some stops to take pictures or just to take your breath back, we will visit the Church and Monastery of San Francisco built few months after the Spaniards arrival (XVI Century). Visit to the Panecillo Hill where the Virgin of Quito, (the only winged virgin) is located. From this perspective you will be delighted by the spectacular view of Colonial Quito mainly. Lunch at a local restaurant is included.

Continue this amazing tour, we will drive 15 Km. north of Quito, towards the Middle of the World. Here you will have two options, either to visit the Ethnographic Museum, located inside the Equator Monument, which shows a display of the main cultures of Ecuador. This monument was built to commemorate the Geodesic Scientific Mission, which came to Ecuador, during the 19th century, in order to study and measure the Earth Meridian. Or, visit the Inti Ñan Museum, a scientific and cultural Museum, located in the exact place where the Equator Line crosses and where you will be shown with different scientific experiments that you are truly stand on the 0° Meridian.

Day 3, Wednesday – Quito/Galapagos
Morning transfer to the airport to take the flight to the Galapagos, upon arrival you will be met andt transferred via the Itabaca Channel, which separates it from Santa Cruz Island. On the other side, a bus will take guests to the highlands of Santa Cruz Island to visit the Giant Tortoises Reserve in their natural habitat, a unique experience! A stop is made at the Twin Pit Craters, great depressions of volcanic material, formed by a long process of slow sinking of the ground, where exceptional Scalesia trees, ferns, mosses and orchids can be seen in the surroundings. Box lunch is provided and then on to the Finch Bay Eco Hotel to enjoy its multiple attractions: pool, the white coral beach in front of the hotel or rest in your hammock. In the evening, dinner includes the flavors of local and international gastronomy, one more attraction of the Finch Bay Eco Hotel.

Day excursions by yacht to nearby Islands Before departure, a bountiful buffet breakfast is served, including a variety of fruit, cereals, eggs, Ecuadorian Tamales, milk, yogurt, fresh fruit juices, breads and more. For the excursions, please take solar protection, cap or hat, bathing suit, long-sleeved shirt, snorkeling gear, cameras and appropriate shoes for wet landing and hikes on lava terrain (sneakers or similar) with thick soles. Lunch is served on board. Upon return, there will be time to relax in the hotel’s surroundings before dinner. Yacht excursions to nearby islands

Day 4, Thursday - Santa Fe Island (Barrington)
A short trek leads through woods of Opuntia cacti and Palo Santo trees. Land iguanas (endemic to Santa Fe), lava lizards and colonies of sea lions can be observed. There is opportunity to swim and snorkel.

Day 5, Friday - Plaza Island
This small island is full of fascinating wildlife, at sea side and along the cliffs: sea lions, land iguanas, swallow-tailed gulls, Opuntia cacti and vegetation that changes colors with the seasons.

Day 6, Saturday - Bartolome Island
The trail is a fairly steep climb on wooden steps to the summit, worth the effort, as there is a spectacular view of the Galapagos scenery from above. Interesting lava formations and tuff cones can be observed. Sea lions and penguins swim in the vicinity of Pinnacle Rock. Enjoy snorkeling or swimming from the beach.

Day 7, Sunday - Galapagos/Guayaquil
Leave the hotel early in the morning for a visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station, home to famous “Lonesome George” and many other giant tortoises. Then, overland transfer to the airport in Baltra to take the flight back to Guayaquil. Upon arrival in Guayaquil, transfer to your hotel.

Day 8, Thursday – Guayaquil/Miami
Transfer to the airport for your international departure flight.
