Day 2 - Arrival in Rio de Janeiro
Upon arrival, you will be met after clearing customs and transferred to your beautiful hotel on famous Copacabana Beach.
Day 3 - Full-day Sugar Loaf, Corcovado Mountain, and Tijuca rainforest
Drive along Rio’s famous beaches to the Praia Vermelha cable car station, where you will be taken to the Urca Mountain (mid-way station) with its gardens and lookout points. Then, the second part of the ride will take you to the peak of Sugar Loaf Mountain, 1,300 feet above sea level. Continue to the Cosme Velho train station. The cogwheel train will climb up through the Tijuca rainforest and will bring you to the steps of the Christ statue. At 2,300 feet above sea level, it is a breathtaking view of the city of Rio de Janeiro, Guanabara Bay, Sugar Loaf Mountain, the nine-mile Rio-Niterói Bridge, the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean. Lunch included.
Day 4 – Rio de Janeiro
Enjoy the day at leisure exploring the beautiful beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema; or shop along Copacabana Avenue.
In the evening, pick up from your hotel to experience a Brazilian Barbeque dinner followed by the excitement of costumed Samba show at Plataforma Theater.
Day 5 – Rio de Janeiro/Salvador
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Salvador, the former capital of Brazil, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, a city tour takes us by the Farol da Barra (lighthouse) – geographic limit between All Saints Bay and the ocean, the residential area of Morro Ipiranga, Chame-Chame quarter, Dique do Tororó, Fonte Nova (football stadium), Vale do Nazaré, Américo Simas Tunnel (connection up to downtown), Órfãos de São Joaquim Church, Saveiro Club, Ribeira beach and N. S. da Penha Church. A visit will be made to Bonfim Church, the Montserrat Fortress, and later a visit and time for shopping at the Mercado Modelo (handicraft center).
Day 6 – Salvador
Transfer from hotel to pier to board a schooner for a cruise in the All Saints Bay from where one can have an unforgettable view of the city of Salvador – the old part of the city, the docks, Bonfim Church. Then proceed to Frade Island where a stop will be made for swimming and sunbathing. Next stop will be at Itaparica Island for lunch and visits to the São Lourenço Fortress and Fonte da Bica (mineral water fountain). Return to Salvador and transfer to the hotel.
Day 7 – Salvador/Praia do Forte
Praia do Forte Eco Resort, located 30 miles from Salvador. Here, you will find more than eight miles of pristine beaches, natural pools up to 12 feet deep, crystal-clear waters, endless groves of coconut palms, and multicolored reefs—a veritable ecological paradise on the east coast of South America.
Day 8, 9 – Praia do Forte
Relax and enjoy the amenities of the hotel.
Day 10 – Salvador/Miami
Transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
